I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect liquid eyeliner for practically the last 8 years. I’ve tried products right from the drug store through to the high end and I decided to try this eyeliner because it gets a lot of love within the beauty community. I picked this up at John Lewis and it cost me £14.

This eyeliner comes with a tapered brush tip, it is VERY fine which allows for precision when applying the eyeliner. The formula of the product is quite wet (make sure you shake the bottle before use), it applies smoothly and opaquely on the lid. I’m no expert with liquid liners but this one was very easy to use and I only re-dipped the brush in once to achieve my desired cat-eye look. Initially the product dries shiny, but after drying fully it has a matte finish. Furthermore, the colour is a truly deep dark black.
The two pictures on the left show the eyeliner immediately after application before it has dried. The two on the right are after 12 hours.
I wore the eyeliner over the Elf Eyelid primer as I always do and there was absolutely NO smudging after a full days wear. I travelled on the London Underground, wind and rain blew in my face, my skin became oily and nothing made this smudge or flake.
The best part of the eyeliner is the removal. Now I’m very fussy about eye make-up removal. I don’t like using harsh chemical removers or tugging at my eyelids. This eyeliner however just peels off when I hold a warm muslin cloth over my eyes.
Hands down this is the BEST eyeliner I have ever used so far and I fully understand why it gets so much hype on the interwebs. It doesn’t break the bank unlike other high-end eyeliners, it applies like a dream, doesn’t smudge or flake and it removes easily.
